The iconic Orange Dole Whip

  • 1 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural orange extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon citric acid (optional, but recommended for a more authentic flavor)
  • In a blender or food processor, combine the frozen orange juice concentrate, coconut milk, sugar, salt, and orange extract. Blend until smooth.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetness or flavor as needed. If using citric acid, add it now and blend well.
  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Once the mixture has finished churning, transfer it to an airtight container and place it in the freezer to harden for at least 2 hours.
  • Once hardened, scoop the Orange Dole Whip into cones or bowls and enjoy!
Note: If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can also freeze the mixture in a shallow metal pan and then blend it in a food processor once it’s frozen solid. This will give you a slightly chunkier texture, similar to the original Dole Whip.
